Third race of the season, and we arrive here, at the California Speedway in Fontana,  about fifty miles East of Los Angeles.
Opened in July 1997, this is one of the most modern racing facilities in the US.
The circuit is two miles in length; it’s a high-banked D shaped oval, where cars run the standard, lower downforce speedway wing configuration.
High speeds in excess of two hundred and twenty miles an hour are common,
and the wide straights and multiple racing grooves make for some exciting and close racing action.
Everyone is going to be racing flat out here, so make sure your car is set up with that in mind.
Also be aware that the track is quite bumpy, and adjust your ride height and suspension accordingly.
