ShockLance=This alien-tech energy rifle offers a very high fire-rate; it can also launch an EMP blast that disables electronic equipment. FieldGenerator=When activated, two or more linked FGs generate a field that prevents access by unauthorized personnel. Pressing the Use button temporarily disables the field. Hell=This frozen moon is home to the cutting edge Elysium Weapons Research Facility. Strangely, contact was recently lost with this isolated Axon scientific station. Reestablish it. GrenadeLauncher=The grenade launcher utilizes a variety of ordnance. Careful calculation of grenade flight-arcs will produce extremely satisfying results. Araknid=Araknids are not indigenous to Hell; they were brought to Elysium Labs as experimental subjects. Mutation has split the species into a variety of bizarre and dangerous creatures. FlameThrower=This specialist weapon ejects an explosion capable of incinerating flammable targets (and most are). The secondary mode sprays un-ignited propellant that can be lit from a prudent distance. FragGrenade=The Frag Grenade explodes on impact, releasing a hail of tumbling, needle-sharp shrapnel. Acheron=Acheron is a single, gigantic alien organism. The Izanagi Corporation has commenced “terraforming operations” by pumping oxygen into the life form. Hopefully this situation will not interfere with the collection of any available artifacts. RocketLauncher=Careful use of only a few rounds from the Rocket Launcher leaves most opponents in small, manageable pieces. Alternatively, the auto-targeting feature can lock onto multiple enemies for scatter fire. GhostWarrior=Izanagi Corp.’s battle hardened soldiers follow the Samurai warrior code of ancient Japan. The Samurai katana has been replaced with deadly ranged weaponry. SniperRifle=An impressive EKD (Effective Kill Distance) combined with an efficient onboard targeting system makes this the definitive long-range weapon. Secondary mode offers enhanced optical zoom. RocketTurret=This defensive turret provides improved attack and detection range. Its effectiveness is further enhanced by a supply of high-explosive rockets…an unlimited supply. Sulferon=Sulferon is a vast desert planet obscured by noxious geothermal emissions and dotted with the bleached skeletons of indigenous fauna. The planet is home to an Izanagi base and data on an Izanagi artifact detector. Retrieve the data. IncendiaryGrenade=Pinpoint accuracy is unnecessary with this grenade, on impact it releases an explosion of flame. It is ideal against heavily armored foes. Janus=Home to a geological study facility (the Polaris Research Lab) Janus is an icy wasteland of treacherous terrain. Two artifacts have been detected on the planet, as have significant Izanagi and Liandri presences. Survive and secure the artifacts. SpiderGun=This bio-weapon launches swarms of hostile life-forms; while the weapon’s physical effect is noteworthy its psychological trauma should not be underestimated. In secondary mode it launches an Araknid, which automatically targets the nearest opponent. Angels=Taken as infants and trained for ruthless slaughter, the ‘Angels’ are genetically engineered shock troops fighting exclusively for Liandri Corporation. ConcussionGrenade=The shockwave from a Concussion Grenade can hurl objects (including enemies) significant distances. Ideal if the target is backed into a corner or in proximity to a sheer drop. AutoTurret=Fully automated, dual machine guns mounted on a tripod and capable of detecting, targeting and attacking approaching enemies. Users should be aware of the limited effective range. NaKojaAbad=Showered with acid rain, choked in disorienting mists, and home to the highly aggressive lizard-like Snipe, Na-Koja Abad is extremely hostile to non-indigenous life. While this situation is sub-optimal successful artifact retrieval may still be possible. ToxicGrenade=On impact this grenade releases a cloud of caustic gas that is effective against even the hardiest opponents. Beware of target’s involuntary fluid expulsion. Takkra=In primary mode this alien weapon system targets and fires on opponents at range. The secondary function locks it to the user, providing defense against approaching enemies and projectiles. NC962VIII=Constant electromagnetic storms prohibit any useful data-scans of this planetoid. In addition on-site exploration personnel have failed to return. Hopefully it will not be too difficult to retrieve the artifact located here. Good luck. LaserRifle=Isaak’s experiments with Drakk technology has provided a rapid-fire, medium-range weapon designed to reduce enemies to component limbs in the shortest time possible. Drakk=Gene-spliced for self-replication, toughness, and cunning, the Drakk’s designers were unpleasantly surprised when their creation rose up en masse and butchered them. Even “dead” Drakks remain dangerous courtesy of their repair droids. EMPGrenade=This specialty grenade can disable an opponent’s energy shield instantly; in addition it is extremely effective against electronic devices such as Turrets and Plasma Field Generators. Shotgun=The shotgun’s effectiveness increases as range is reduced; the closer the enemy the more it hurts. The optional incendiary rounds are devastating but care should be taken to avoid blowback at extreme close range. Skaarj=There are no more feared warriors in the galaxy than the Skaarj. Until recently, internal warring rendered them almost harmless, but current reports indicate they are putting aside their differences for a common goal. This is bad news for non-Skaarj. SmokeGrenade=A soldier who can’t be seen can’t be shot. This handy grenade ejects a cloud of smoke, providing ample cover for useful activities such as flanking, regrouping or “retrograde movement”. MagnumPistol=The Magnum’s fast rate-of-fire makes it an ideal backup weapon for soldiers in “tactically compromised situations”. Its impressive stopping force is somewhat negated by a limited ammunition capacity.
